Oh, this spring or better early summer weather has affected our temper, and there is no mood for jobs and obligations …. Don’t tell me that you have not a tendency to carelessness and walks and drinks! Shrimp in hot tomato sauce is a very classic dish that perfectly accompanies a glass of ouzo (greek traditional drink) or wine, isn’t it? Easy, spicy and delicious food! All you need to accompany them is a good bread, to dip it at the delicious sauce! Ready in just 10 minutes, I think it fits perfectly both in the season and at our disposal! What do you say;
Shrimps in Hot Tomato Sauce

- ○ 15-20 shrimp
- ○ 250 g tomato juice
- ○ 100 g kefalotyri cheese (a salty hard greek cheese, you can replace with parmesan or pecorino)
- ○ 2 cloves of garlic
- ○ fresh parsley
- ○ 4 tbsp olive oil
- ○ hot pepper or chilli
- ○ pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
In a frying pan, place the olive oil and sauté the garlic. Once the oil is hot, add the shrimp which you have cleaned and remove their sandbag.
Cook the shrimp for 1-2 minutes from each side until they change color and then remove them and add the tomato juice.
Add salt, pepper and chilli and cook for 1-2 minutes. Then add the parsley and kefalotyri cheese in cubes and cook for 1 more minute. Then add the shrimps.
Gently shake the pan and boil for 1 minute to combine flavors.
Serve with fresh bread!
