After a few weeks of absence, I come back sharper with a very tasty recipe, that absolutely fits the season ! But let me start with the happy news, since it is the reason for my absence the last weeks, but also for the big intervals without a post. Well, this reason is the sweetest reason that somebody can find to postpone his obligations … For several months was pregnancy, and for the last few weeks the birth of our baby, that I must say has stolen our heart! And how you can even think about doing anything else? Trust me, you just can’t! At the beginning of this first spring month, a sunny Sunday, he decided to come and meet us! Oh, I’m just mad about him…
And after the good news, let’s move on to the recipe I have for you today! An easy, light and classic dessert, which is an ideal choice to finish your Easter lunch! Its few materials and its easy preparation, makes it an ideal choice for a festive table! As for appearance? Extremely strawberry! What are you waiting for?

Mastic Flavored Panna Cotta with Caramelized StrawberriesPrint This
- ○ 800 gr. whipping cream
- ○ 200 g milk
- ○ 6 tbl. sugar
- ○ 1 tsp. grated mastic
- ○ 12 g gelatin sheets
- ○ 500 g strawberries
- ○ 6-7 tbl. sugar
- ○ 1 shot of balsamic vinegar
Put some water in a bowl and pour into the gelatin. Let it soak for 5-10 minutes. In the meantime, put mastic, sugar, cream and milk in a saucepan and boil it while stirring until the sugar melts and the first boiling blisters start to appear.
Remove it from the heat and dissolve the soaked gelatin in the mixture.
Put the panna cotta into 8 small glasses and allow it to cool completely. Then transfer it to the refrigerator to freeze and solidify.
For caramelized strawberries, put the sugar on a non-stick pan and let it become caramel on a low heat.
Wash and chop the strawberries and add them into the caramel. As soon as their liquids are evaporated, add the balsamic vinegar and boil for 1-2 more minutes.
Remove the caramelized strawberries from the heat and let them cool down.
Serve by placing the caramelized strawberries on the top of your cold panna cotta.
